Blogging Perspectives Daily Has A New Home Will Go Live 10.4.2010

I wanted to let everyone know that Blogging Perspectives Daily is officially my domain on Blue Host. I feel it is in the best interest of my blog that it is not just the name of my blog, but that it is my brand. It will of course take a lot of hard work to get it where I want it to be, but I’m up to the challenge. I want to thank all the kind people at WordPress for helping me get started. I still have a long way to go since I’m still a novice. I want to thank all the people who visited my blog and became regular readers of BPD. I look forward to you remaining regular readers.
Venturing away from WordPess dot com is scary. I have so much to learn, SEO techniques, HTML and CSS editing, but I’m up for the challenge. It will be a great learning experience and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?
Anything I’ve developed a passion for I’ve had to basically learn on my own. Music for example, though I made a formal study of music theory and composition with some prominent teachers. And Astronomy, which I made a self study of by doing, reading, learning to use astronomical software, also by learning to read star charts and star atlases.
I think WordPress is the best platform/software and will continue to use it on Blue Host. So please follow me over to Blogging Perspectives Daily. I have some good things I want to share with all of you. And I would be humbled, grateful and inspired to have the chance to share with you my thoughts, views, tips and opinions on blogging and social media.

Thank you. It will be a little scary leaving the confines of WP.com.
I haven’t installed WP yet. It’s a one click install and I’ve already created an export file from this blog. The reason why I’m waiting is because I haven’t felt good lately physically. And I’m waiting to purchase the Genesis framework and a child theme.
I realize I have a lot to learn and a very long way to go, but I enjoy learning new things and this is certainly a challenge. I have the wordpress software installed locally on my mac so I’ve gotten under the hood a bit. I’ve downloaded some useful plugins for SEO and Genesis has SEO options from what I’ve read about it. TT I know it is a big step for a very small blogger like myself, but after reading some of your articles on having your own domain and self hosting I thought this would be best for me and BPD in the long run.
I’ve been a bit discouraged with my own blogging lately and it’s no ones fault but my own. However I’m not going to give up. I’m not going to launch the new blog until Oct. 4th or 5th. Thanks for all the help you’ve given me at WP.com it’s really helped. IMO and just to be honest with everyone and myself I need to learn how to write better blog posts. I’m very hard on myself. And think too much so perhaps I’m making blogging more difficult than it really is. This has been a really bad week for me physically and emotionally.
